Headlights
As the first proportions and contours of a new model begin to take shape, so, too, begins the design of the vehicle's lighting. At about the same time, Volke realizes a virtual 3D design draft of the lighting package, from headlights, SBBR-lights, front- and rear end fog lamps, to the side markers. The 3D-draft of the vehicle's lighting contains all visible trim elements, panels, reflectors, and glass elements. This creative process and the detailed elaboration, while taking into account the technical specifications and the design guidelines, will continue right through to series production. In this way, early geometric validation and sustainable assessment of the exterior of the model are possible. In order to produce such assessible design solutions in a 3D model, Volke uses modern software, primarily Icem-Surf and Alias.
