Frontal Crash

With the tight schedules involved, modern vehicle development needs a tool which can make sure that already the first crash prototype can meet the demands required of it.  Today, no crash test with prototypes costing millions takes place without first conducting a successful simulation.

After the fundamental course is set in the early phase of development, simulation technology is used to optimize structures within the narrowed down set of limiting conditions (same-part concept, constructive constraints, possibly altered target values, other sales markets, etc.).  Also when it comes to vehicle derivatives (convertible, variant, MPV), simulation can help identify risk areas at an early stage and work out the first proposed solutions.
