Safety Testing / Airbag

Volke carries out safety tests which are intended to reduce the risk of injury to passengers via parts of the interior in a collision.  This includes not only the development of safer vehicle interiors, but extensive airbag testing using temperature protected high speed cameras in the climate chamber.  The release of the airbag at temperatures from -40° to +90° Celsius is monitored, and the deployment time is determined.  In addition, it is documented during the release of the airbag that no parts become detached, posing a risk of injury to the passenger.  A further advantage for our customers is that our in-house high-tech climate chamber does not have to be opened while filming, which makes the project run more quickly and efficiently.
