2.1 Pursuant to sec. 3(1) of the BDSG [German Federal Data Protection Act] and/or Art. 4 of the GDPR, personal data is information on personal or factual circumstances of an identified or identifiable person. This includes, without limitation, information and data such as names, addresses, telephone numbers and e-mail addresses, but also usage data, such as your IP address.
2.2 Data collection and storage scope
If you send us an e-mail, it will be delivered to the corresponding e-mail address in the Company. This is where your e-mail will be read and forwarded to the relevant employee in charge. Personal data is then saved and processed. Such consent granted based on use may be revoked at any time.
3. Online data when visiting our website
3.1 Server-Log-Files
For technical reasons, we collect the below data which your web browser transmits to our web server, including, without limitation:

– operating system used;
– referrer URL;
– websites you visit;
– date and time of your access;
– your internet protocol (IP) address.
These anonymous data is stored separately from personal data you possibly provided and, therefore, cannot be assigned to a specific individual. It is evaluated for statistical purposes to optimise our website and offers. We reserve the right to subsequently check this data if we become aware of concrete indications for unlawful use.
3.2 Disclosure of your data Referrals to third-party offers represent a service for website visitors to make the search for information offers on certain subjects easier. This must not be considered specific recommendation concerning the contents. The respective providers are exclusively responsible for the content of these pages in terms of criminal and civil law. If you notice that single or several pages violate applicable law or have other inappropriate contents, please inform us about this. In this case, we will immediately remove the references on this website. We cannot guarantee that these links, which providers often change at later times, work all the time. Your application data will be electronically collected and processed by us for the purpose of handling the application process.

4.3 Who processes the data?
Data collected by Volke Entwicklungsring SE is exclusively processed by application managers in accordance with the applicable data protection regulations. These bodies are located in Germany and in EU countries, and they must handle personal data in compliance with data protection requirements based on contractual obligations and data protection instructions imposed on them. Information you provide to us will be treated confidentially. Your application will be checked for possible employment only by Volke Entwicklungsring SE. In the case of vacancies at the Volke Group, we ask you to send your application directly to the respective group company (listed below).

4.4 Processing and erasure of your data
We ask you to exclusively apply via our job portal on the website at jobs.volke.de/de/jobboard. After we received your documents, you will be provided with an automatic confirmation from our job portal. Applications which you send us by e-mail cannot be processed for data protection reasons.
Changes to and erasure of your data can be communicated to the application managers at any time by e-mail to karriere@volke.de (see also right of access and revocation).
5. Visitor data when entering our company premises
5.1 Purposes of processing and legal basis
VOLKE collects, processes and uses your data for information security purposes at VOLKE and the associated VOLKE companies (see below). This applies to data which is collected, processed and used on the occasion of your visit, including electronic identification when driving on the company premises, or in the context of building video-surveillance.

5.2 Legitimate interest in data processing
VOLKE collects, processes and uses your data in order to verifiably inform you about information security with VOLKE and to accordingly impose an obligation on you. This serves protection of VOLKE’s intellectual property and represents a legitimate interest in terms of Art. 6(1) of the GDPR.
VOLKE collects, processes and uses your data created by video surveillance systems to fend off existing hazards or increased risk potentials regarding the VOLKE (intellectual) property. This is a legitimate interest of VOLKE in terms of sec. 4(1) sent. 1 no. 3 of the BDSG.
5.3 Recipients of your data
Your data remains with VOLKE. Internal recipients include, depending on the purpose, our bistro and the Information Security, Visitor Management, Legal and Compliance departments.
5.4 Retention periods for your data
As long as the purpose of your visit or order exists, we store your personal data and delete it after the legal retention period expired. Your image data possibly recorded in the context of premises video-surveillance will be erased after a maximum of 14 days.
5.5 Your right to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority
Under Art. 77 of the GDPR, you have a right to lodge a complaint, at any time, with the competent data protection authority, e.g. that in charge of your residence, place of work or the place of the alleged violation.

5.6 Is there a duty to provide your data? What are the consequences if you refuse to provide such data?
You are neither legally nor generally obliged to provide your data to VOLKE. However, if you refuse to provide this data, VOLKE may prohibit you from accessing the company premises for information security and confidentiality reasons.
6. General data security
We protect our data through data security measures which comply with valid legal data protection provisions and the state of the art (e.g. firewalls; virus scanners; intrusion detection software). If you are connected to a multiple network environment, you must be aware that there is always a risk of undesired access.
7. Your rights in connection with your personal data
In accordance with Art. 15–18 of the GDPR, you receive information about your data we store at any time without giving reasons for this. You have the right to block, rectify, restrict or erase your data we collected. You may also object to anonymised or pseudonymised data collection and storage to optimise our website and, at any time, revoke the consent we received from you to data collection and use without giving reasons for this.
